Building the digital presence of Tulum's most storied address

A storied beachfront hotel whose digital presence didn't match its reputation.

The challenge

Casa Malca is one of Tulum's most remarkable properties — a beachfront boutique hotel built inside what was once Pablo Escobar's beach house, now transformed into an immersive art destination with works by KAWS, Keith Haring, and Subodh Gupta. It holds a Michelin Guide listing. It has been featured in Vogue, Forbes, Vanity Fair, GQ, and Architectural Digest.

The challenge was that none of this was coming through digitally with the clarity it deserved. A property this layered — art collection, four dining venues, rooftop spa, three pools, Caribbean beachfront — requires content strategy that can hold multiple stories at once without losing coherence.

We mapped every dimension of the Casa Malca experience and identified the thread that runs through all of it: the collision of art, pleasure, and place. That became the editorial spine.

From there we built a content architecture designed to tell the property's story in layers. The art collection gave us cultural depth. The dining venues — Philosophy, Ambrosia, Head of a Madman, the Haring Bar — gave us daily content across food, cocktail culture, and atmosphere. The spa, the pools, and the "Tunnel to Paradise" passage gave us the sensory material that performs on social.

We worked closely with the team to establish a brand voice that matched the property's personality: aspirational but not stiff, artistically literate without being alienating. The kind of tone that makes you feel like you're being let in on something, not sold to.

Casa Malca's digital presence now reflects the full weight of what the property is. Content draws consistently on the art collection, the culinary program, and the architecture of the space — creating a feed and a narrative that reads as coherent whether a guest is discovering the property for the first time or returning for their third stay.

The brand's press trajectory — already strong — accelerated as the storytelling gave editors and journalists a clearer, richer picture of what Casa Malca represents in the contemporary luxury landscape.
